Job summary

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Procurement Specialist to join the Procurement Department. The postholder will work within the Clinical Procurement team embedded in the StrategicProcurement group to deliver value through cost improvement on clinical products.

Responsibilities include working with nurses and clinicians to reduce costs while safeguarding patient care, leading clinical product evaluation, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in clinical procurement and value improvement.
• Ability to work with clinical staff to optimise products while maintaining patient care quality.
• Familiar with NICE guidance and clinical product optimisation processes.
• Evidence of working within hospital/NHS procurement environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Clinical Procurement Nurse Lead to support clinical procurement projects.
• Liaise between the Procurement team and clinical staff to drive value and efficiency.
• Review clinical spend, identify products and suppliers, and develop procurement plans.
• Ensure procurement complies with Trust policies and supports patient outcomes.
