Job summary

Alexander Mann Solutions - Contingency is seeking a Procurement Category Manager for a 3-month contract based in Derby/Bristol with a hybrid working model.

You will lead in-contract management of key raw material suppliers (nickel, steel, and titanium), drive cost reduction, and oversee a team of Buyers, while negotiating complex contracts and collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver value and compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA level degree and/or CIPS qualifications.
• Experience leading negotiations at senior levels and delivering commercial value.
• Strong collaboration with internal Supplier Management, Finance and General Counsel teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Buyers and develop their capability.
• Provide visible leadership on safety, ethics, and compliance.
• Lead major commercial negotiations on complex claims and contract extensions.
• Develop and deliver cost-out and value-creation initiatives.
• Own SRM with group-level Aerospace suppliers and drive a unified action plan.
• Promote continuous improvement and standard work across the Procurement team.
