Job summary

St. James's Place is seeking a Procurement Category Coordinator to join our team in Cirencester. This 9-month fixed-term contract offers hybrid working and an entry-level path into procurement, sourcing, and commercial management.

You'll work with experienced procurement professionals, support sourcing projects, analyze spend, and help deliver value across HR, Marketing, Facilities, and more. Ideal for early-career candidates eager to develop practical commercial skills.

Qualifications

• A degree, apprenticeship, internship, placement year, or some professional experience in procurement, business, finance, supply chain, commercial, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing and procurement projects across a range of services and indirect spend categories.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify the best sourcing approaches.
• Conduct market research and spend analysis to help find opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Assist with supplier selection activities, including RFx processes, supplier evaluations, and commercial assessments.
• Support contract renewals and supplier management activities.
• Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across the business.
• Monitor supplier performance and help ensure agreed service levels are achieved.
• Support supplier risk management and compliance activities.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and reporting information.
