SF Recruitment have a great opportunity to join a client based in South Derbyshire as a Buyer, supporting the procurement team in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Swadlincote. This full-time, permanent role requires strong purchasing and supplier liaison skills.

You will manage direct and indirect suppliers, raise purchase orders, expedite orders, negotiate lead times, and work with Production to ensure materials and deliveries meet targets.

Qualifikationen

• Procurement background with supplier liaison experience.
• Experience raising purchase orders and coordinating with Production.
• Strong communication skills with suppliers and internal teams.
• Experience using MRP/ERP systems and Excel daily.

Aufgaben

• Manage direct and indirect suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Expedite orders and negotiate lead times to improve delivery performance.
• Source materials and obtain quotes for new/alternative materials.
• Coordinate with production/planning to meet targets and dates.
• Raise purchase orders and resolve invoicing queries.
• Adhere to system requirements and budget targets.
• Mitigate price increases and support purchasing savings.
