Procurement Assistant Role
The role of the Procurement Assistant is to support the Procurement Manager with:
- The creation of subcontractor orders
- Liaising with subcontractors, clients, and site teams
- Assisting with general filing and system administration

Role Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders on proposed works and during the pre-construction phase
- Coordinating with the Procurement Manager regarding project requirements
- Updating procurement schedules in line with the project programme
- Participating in daily review meetings via Office & Teams with the project team
- Collaborating with H&S, Design, Technical, and Estimating teams to ensure scope of works and delivery are fulfilled
- Collating tender packages, scope of works, and filing all quotation tender returns
- Making proposals, collating comparisons, and submitting to the team
- Arranging and leading pre-construction meetings and collating meeting minutes
- Creating subcontractor orders and reviewing all contract documents with the commercial and project team prior to sending out contracts
- Tracking subcontractor signed contracts and project team involvement
- Attending site during estimating and pre-construction phases
- Providing quotations for additional works outside the initial scope
- Ensuring contracts are within budget and providing project cost analysis against budgets
- Logging enquiries and communicating with site staff and subcontractors to ensure site attendance as agreed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent English language skills for communication via calls, emails, and visitors
- Ability to drive to sites if required, with the Procurement Manager
- Experience with subcontractors and the construction industry is advantageous
