Job Opportunity: Process Technologist in FMCG

Do you have experience within FMCG as a Process Technologist? We have a great opportunity for an experienced Process Technologist to join our established food manufacturing client based at their site in North Yorkshire. Working as part of the NPD team reporting to the Process Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Planning all elements of the process to operational launch, including provision of trial raw materials, new tooling, packaging, and factory engagement.
2. Planning, designing, and leading trials to ensure new products developed by the kitchen can be manufactured safely.
3. Producing detailed product files ahead of the final seal meeting.
4. Completing post-trial eating meetings to ensure alignment with the kitchen and discuss potential concerns or challenges.
5. Organizing samples and submitting them to the lab for micro and chemical testing to generate data for the Finished Product Specification.
6. Preparing trial reports and providing detailed feedback to aid understanding of manufacturing constraints, process capability, and best practices.
7. Establishing baking/cooking methodologies for all new components and products, ensuring they meet Food Safety and Quality Standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within food manufacturing.
• Previous experience in FMCG is essential, including the ability to complete retailer specifications.
• Food Safety Level 3 certification.
• Understanding of fast-moving consumer goods.
• Strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and a keen eye for detail.

Additional Information

This role offers an attractive salary of up to £33,301. The position is commutable from Malton, York, Scarborough, Driffield, Thirsk, and surrounding areas.
