Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Process Technician for a Randburg-based manufacturing site. You will monitor process parameters, perform maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and drive process improvements to ensure consistent product quality and reliable operations.

You will collaborate with engineers and production staff, maintain detailed records, and uphold safety standards. A National Diploma in a technical field and 2+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Process Technician or in a similar role in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and process manuals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control key process parameters to ensure consistent product quality and output in Randburg.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process deviations, implementing timely corrective actions.
• Operate and calibrate specialized processing equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Collect and analyze process data, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
• Assist engineers in the implementation of new processes or modifications to existing ones.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations on the production floor.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of process operations, maintenance activities, and quality checks.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
• Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and maintained according to 5S principles.
