If so, don’t let this opportunity pass you by…

We want to be the water company people want to be supplied by and want to work for.

You’ll take up this crucial role as a Process Technician to join our team that keeps the water flowing for millions of customers every day. You’ll use your skills, know-how, and attention to detail, along with a dependable approach, to operate and maintain our production sites, reservoirs, and pumping stations.

You’ll manage water level and flow within our reservoirs and pumping stations to ensure we provide a continuous water supply to the communities we serve.

Experience in water treatment processes would be useful but isn’t essential. Ideally, you’ll have experience in process operations or an electrical/mechanical engineering background.

You’ll operate, maintain, and manage our water production sites by monitoring, optimizing, and continuously improving water treatment processes. Your attention to detail means that data will be correctly recorded and work management systems updated accurately.

It’s crucial that you’re an agile team player and confident working alone. We provide a company van as this role involves working at different locations within the Maidenhead area. Working hours are 37 hours per week (7.00am to 7.00pm, Monday to Friday).

After your initial training, you’ll be required to participate in a 1-in-5 standby rota to respond to incidents out of hours and at weekends. In return, we pay a standby allowance (c. £2,000 per annum) plus overtime rates.

We offer a clear career and pay progression structure to encourage your development where you can earn up to £38,700 as you increase your knowledge and abilities. You’ll have access to training to take your knowledge to the next level.

This is a great opportunity to grow your career and contribute to the success of our production team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operation, monitoring, control, checking, and maintenance of water treatment processes at water production sites ensuring reliable and efficient operation of our production works and associated sites

  • Monitor and maintain security of production site
  • Issue Permits to Work where required
  • Assist with capital works as and when required
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and Production “Standard Operating Procedures” (SOP)
