Zusammenfassung

Thames Water in Esher is seeking a Process Technician to join our maintenance team. The role is full-time with a base location at Esher STW, KT10 8AU, working 38 hours per week with standby and overtime opportunities. Training is provided and there are prospects for progression within a growing organisation.

You will perform planned maintenance across sites, handle reactive faults, and ensure health and safety standards are met. A full UK driving licence is required.

Reporting to the Process Technician at Esher Sewage Treatment Works, this full-time position starts at £29,349 annually, negotiable based on skills and experience. No prior background in waste or water is required; applicants from other sectors are welcomed. The post holder performs planned preventative maintenance across several sites, in all weather, keeping essential functions running, maintaining customer supply and protecting the environment. Every shift differs, covering varied tasks. Reliability, practical problem-solving, mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn prove valuable. Comprehensive training is provided, with genuine prospects for progression within a growing organisation.

What you’ll be doing as the Process Technician
  • Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
  • Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to ensure on-site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Attending reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
  • Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
  • Carrying out daily site checks to ensure compliant operation.
Base Location, Working Pattern and Equipment

Base Location: Esher STW, Farm Road, Esher, KT10 8AU.

Working Pattern: 38 Hours per week, Monday – Friday, plus Standby rota payments & overtime opportunities can increase your earning potential upon completion of essential company training.

Equipment: All PPE, tools, a company van and a fuel card are provided.

  • Be a self-motivated individual who can immerse themselves into the team around them, you need to be very disciplined have the desire to learn from those around you and have a can-do attitude.
  • Take Ownership of responding quickly to faults, being curious to fully understand the problem, and identifying the best solution to resolve it the first time.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to interact with the team.
  • Teamwork – We are one team, and our end goals are the same.
  • Proactive – take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and communicate effectively.
  • Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures.
  • Knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards.
  • Full UK driver's licence.
  • Due to the nature of this role you must hold a full UK drivers Licence.
