Job description

We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our Banbury Sewage Treatment team on a temporary basis for up to 6 months. No prior experience in the Water industry is required. We welcome applications from candidates outside the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.

You will be part of the frontline operations team covering sewage treatment sites.

What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician
  1. Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance on plant and equipment in compliance with standards to enhance plant resilience.
  2. Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to maintain operational and health and safety standards.
  3. Attending to reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
  4. Keeping sites clean and tidy and conducting safety and security checks.
  5. Working safely and adhering to all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
What you should bring to the role
  1. A self-motivated individual willing to learn, disciplined, with a positive attitude. The role can be demanding but rewarding.
  2. Responsibility to respond quickly to faults, curious to understand problems, and capable of resolving issues effectively.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Teamwork mindset—working towards shared goals.
  5. Proactive approach—leading recommendations and improvements.
  6. Willingness to undergo safety training.
  7. Knowledge of health and safety standards.
  8. Full UK driver’s license.

  • Hourly pay rate: £14.00
  • Location: Banbury - OX16 4RZ
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Start date: Within 1 week
  • Hours: 38 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm
