Job summary

INEOS Belgium is seeking a chartered chemical engineer to lead process safety across FPS assets at Grangemouth. You will drive PHAs, LO PAs, and Safety Reviews, ensuring compliance with COMAH and regulatory standards while mentoring staff.

You will develop strategies, analyse KPIs, and coordinate with Asset management to address gaps, providing technical leadership across the complex.

Qualifications

• Chartered chemical engineer with 5+ years in petrochemical/midstream/oiland gas or refinery ops.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and third-party specialists.
• Strong technical knowledge in process safety and related areas.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex systems and regulations.
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools and how to interpret results.
• Understanding of human factors influence on process safety and current best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver process safety support and studies to meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide process safety guidance to FPS South assets and related terminals.
• Develop and implement management strategies to address non-compliance gaps.
• Lead PHAs and chair as needed; coordinate LOPA reviews on demand.
• Lead Safety Engineering Reviews, PHSERs and pre-startup safety reviews.
• Maintain site-wide QRAs to underpin COMAH submissions.
