Job summary

Qualifications

• Chartered chemical engineer with 5+ years in petrochemical, midstream, oil and gas or refinery operations.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and 3rd party specialists.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in process safety.
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools and interpretation of results.
• Understanding of human factors in process safety and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide process safety technical guidance to assets.
• Develop and implement management strategies to address non-compliance.
• Lead PHAs and resource planning for HAZOP-related activities.
• Lead LOPA reviews in response to asset or project demand.
• Lead safety engineering reviews and pre-startup safety reviews.
• Support COMAH submissions with QRAs and incident data.
• Develop KPI trends and drive process safety improvements.
• Audit compliance with modification systems and identify improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers on process safety integration.
• Lead root cause investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate incident management activities as part of the site team.
