Job summary

Kerry is seeking a Process Safety Engineer for our Menstrie site, a large-scale fermentation and yeast production facility. The role reports to the HSE Lead and focuses on strengthening process safety management across the site to support safe, reliable operations.

You will develop and implement safety programs, lead risk assessments and MoC activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external regulators to reduce risk and promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Chemical Engineer (CEng) status is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in process safety, chemical engineering or process engineering roles.
• Experience in chemical, energy, pharmaceutical, food or beverage manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to develop process safety capabilities and support safe operation of the plant.
• Develop and implement a site strategy to move from Intolerable Risk to Broadly Acceptable Risk across PSM elements.
• Implement process safety programs, tools, training and assessments aligned with Kerry's PSM framework.
• Support complex operations by identifying and implementing process safety and reliability improvements.
• Lead MoC, incident investigations, risk assessments, SIL studies and LOPA analyses.
• Lead site HAZOP activities and drive completion of actions.
• Ensure HAC classifications are identified, maintained and compliant with Kerry standards.
• Promote understanding and adoption of PSM processes across all levels of the site.
