Job summary

Screwfix Direct Ltd. is seeking a driven Continuous Improvement specialist to lead end-to-end process enhancements across Stockless Fulfilment, supplier routing, dispatch, and returns.

You will apply structured problem solving to identify bottlenecks, design future-state processes and embed changes into business as usual. The role requires strong analytical capability, cross-functional collaboration and a bias for data-led decision making to deliver measurable benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Process Transformation within complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end fulfilment or supply chain processes.
• Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies with hands-on problem solving.
• Skilled in root cause analysis and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to redesign and document scalable “as-is” and “to-be” processes.
• Strong analytical capability using data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities.
• Experience defining, tracking and delivering measurable benefits (cost, efficiency, service).
• Proven ability to lead CI initiatives end-to-end from opportunity to BAU transition.

Responsibilities

• Determine and align upon continuous improvement opportunities with the Operations & Development Manager and stakeholders.
• Intake, prioritise and govern CI demand within an improvement pipeline.
• Lead end-to-end discovery, analysis and redesign of Stockless Fulfilment processes.
• Apply problem-solving techniques to identify inefficiencies and risks.
• Design future-state processes that are practical, scalable and implementable.
• Maintain standardised process documentation and SOPs for governance and audit readiness.
• Identify automation and digital workflow opportunities across fulfilment and supplier processes.
• Develop and embed manage-by-exception operating models and vendor-led processes for Stockless Fulfilment.
• Evaluate digital/automation solutions to improve efficiency, resilience and customer experience.
• Lead CI initiatives from opportunity to benefits realisation and BAU transition.
• Embed standard work and governance to reduce waste and variation.
