Job summary

Pertemps North West and North Wales is recruiting a Process Operator for our Chester manufacturing site. You will operate specialist machinery to produce products to specification, maintaining quality, safety and productivity.

The role offers rotating shifts (36 hours per week) with training, PPE and strong emphasis on health and safety. Reliability, hands-on approach and good teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Operate specialist production machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload raw materials in line with safe working procedures.
  • Pack, weigh, and label finished products accurately.
  • Carry out routine machine inspections and basic safety checks.
  • Meet daily production targets.
  • Perform quality inspections and report any defects or production concerns.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure operating conditions remain within specification.
  • Complete production records accurately.
  • Remove production waste and dispose of it correctly.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Follow all company policies relating to health and safety, PPE, hygiene, and operational procedures.

Process Operator

Location: Chester, Cheshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £30,775 per annum

Hours: 36 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts, Monday to Wednesday:

  • 6:00am – 6:00pm
  • 6:00pm – 6:00am

Flexibility is required to work rotating shifts as business needs dictate.

The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Process Operator to join their manufacturing team in Chester.

Security Clearance

The successful applicant will be required to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance before commencing employment.
