Job summary

Olleco is seeking a Process Operator for its Westcott AD plant to help keep the site online and running efficiently, processing around 1,000 tonnes of food waste weekly. The role includes tipping feed stock, assisting maintenance, and supporting site improvements in a busy anaerobic digestion environment.

The position operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (7am–7pm) with pension, BUPA cash plan, life assurance and 20 days leave plus bank holidays, rising with service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working on a mobile plant desirable but not essential.
• Experience in an industrial related field, ideally anaerobic digestion or waste recycling desirable but not essential.
• High SHEQ standards and sound knowledge of safety practices

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety requirements are met.
• Ensure the feed stock is tipped safely.
• Process feed stock through the plant system.
• Co-ordinate planned and corrective maintenance with Technicians.
• Support continuous improvement of the facility.
• Assist with projects as required.

We’re looking for a Process Operator to help us keep our state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion plant online and running efficiently, processing circa 1,000 tonnes of food waste per week.

4 on 4 off shift pattern, 7am - 7pm

This is a varied and exciting role, giving the employee an opportunity to develop technical skills and knowledge alongside performing their day-to-day duties. Primarily, you’ll ensure the feed stock is tipped safely by delivery vehicles and processed effectively through the plants systems. You will also assist the sites Engineering Team with their maintenance tasks, repairs and projects when required.

A little bit more about the role:

• Ensure that tasks are completed in line with health and safety requirements
• Ensure the feed stock is tipped safety
• Take a hands-on approach to the role, processing feed stock through the plant system
• Work with the Maintenance Technicians to co-ordinate planned and corrective maintenance activities
• Support the continuous improvement of the facility
• Assist with any projects
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern 7am - 7pm

We’re also eager to hear from you if you have worked in chemical manufacturing, the water industry or any industry with an emphasis on the use of pressure vessels, tanks, pipes and pumps.
