Job summary

Olleco is seeking a Process Operator to keep the AD plant running efficiently at Westcott. You will manage feed stock, tip deliveries safely, and support maintenance tasks with the site engineering team. The role offers a 4 on/4 off pattern from 7am to 7pm, and a competitive package with pension and life cover.

We value practical hands-on applicants with a focus on safety and reliability, able to contribute to continuous improvement and assist with project work as required.

Qualifications

• High SHEQ standards and sound knowledge of safety practices.
• Experience in an industrial related field desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience on a mobile plant is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tasks are completed in line with health and safety requirements.
• Tipping feed stock safely and processing it through the plant system.
• Assist maintenance team with planned and corrective maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement and participate in projects as needed.

We’re looking for a Process Operator to help us keep our state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion plant online and running efficiently, processing circa 1,000 tonnes of food waste per week.

£30,463.80per annum Plus Pension, BUPA Cash Plan, Life Assurance, 20 Days’ Leave Per Annum + Bank Holidays (rising with service)

4 on 4 off shift pattern, 7am - 7pm

This is a varied and exciting role, giving the employee an opportunity to develop technical skills and knowledge alongside performing their day-to-day duties. Primarily, you’ll ensure the feed stock is tipped safely by delivery vehicles and processed effectively through the plants systems. You will also assist the sites Engineering Team with their maintenance tasks, repairs and projects when required.

A little bit more about the role:

• Ensure that tasks are completed in line with health and safety requirements
• Ensure the feed stock is tipped safety
• Take a hands-on approach to the role, processing feed stock through the plant system
• Work with the Maintenance Technicians to co-ordinate planned and corrective maintenance activities
• Support the continuous improvement of the facility
• Assist with any projects
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern 7am - 7pm

We’re also eager to hear from you if you have worked in chemical manufacturing, the water industry or any industry with an emphasis on the use of pressure vessels, tanks, pipes and pumps.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working on a mobile plant desirable but not essential
• Experience in an industrial related field, ideally anaerobic digestion or waste recycling desirable but not essential
