Job summary

Reed is seeking a Process Operator for a busy manufacturing environment producing high-precision components for aerospace and power generation. The role involves machine operation, component assembly, reshaping and finishing, following detailed drawings and quality procedures.

You will join a specialist team focused on delivering engineer products to the highest standards. Training is provided for EDM if needed, with a permanent, full-time position and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Experience operating machinery in precision engineering preferred.
• EDM experience beneficial but training available.
• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow processes and work instructions accurately.
• Positive, proactive and reliable attitude.
• Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialist production machinery and equipment.
• Carry out component assembly, reshaping and finishing processes.
• Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings and quality procedures.
• Complete production and inspection documentation accurately.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report faults or issues.
• Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production targets.

We are looking for a motivated Process Operator to join a busy and expanding manufacturing environment producing high-precision components for the aerospace and power generation sectors. This is a varied, hands-on role involving a combination of machine operation, component assembly, reshaping and finishing activities.

Working within a specialist manufacturing team, you will play a key part in producing critical engineered products to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate specialist production machinery and equipment.
• Carry out component assembly, reshaping and finishing processes.
• Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings and quality procedures.
• Complete production and inspection documentation accurately.

What We're Looking For
