Job summary

Sammons Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Process Operator for a permanent, full-time role in Bordon, UK. The successful candidate will operate press, finishing, inspection and packing equipment, reading detailed instructions and ensuring high quality standards. Rubber manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

The role requires good literacy and numeracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team, maintaining safety and continuous improvement across production processes.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Ability to read and understand written work instructions and drawings.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate press, finishing, inspection and packing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Mould products in line with documented settings and manufacturing instructions.
  • Operate multiple machines following appropriate training.
  • Finish and assemble products to required specifications.
  • Inspect products using visual, manual and digital inspection methods.
  • Carry out rework where required and report non-conforming products.
  • Pack and label products accurately to customer requirements.
  • Complete manufacturing paperwork accurately to maintain batch traceability.
  • Monitor the quality of your own work and maintain a right-first-time approach.
  • Report equipment faults and defects promptly to the appropriate team.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety and environmental practices.
  • Work closely with colleagues across production, material preparation and inspection to minimise rejects and waste.

Experience within rubber manufacturing would be advantageous.
