Job summary

STERIS plc in the UK is seeking a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement across production lines. You will analyse data, lead lean initiatives, and support cost reduction, quality, and delivery improvements.

The role requires at least 2 years in manufacturing with experience in process improvement and stakeholder management; proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; ERP exposure (Oracle, Sage, MS 365).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (Lean preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Process Improvement role (Projects, Process Engineer).
  • Experience managing projects, including stakeholder management.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience using an ERP system (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft 365, Sage).
  • Experience creating process flows and standard work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to improve yield, reduce waste and costs, and enhance delivery.
  • Collect data to support improvements through observations and analysis.
  • Lead troubleshooting projects to resolve complex operational issues.
  • Support change initiatives to drive success.
  • Manage project risks and issues to minimise impact on delivery.
  • Improve processes based on data and demonstrate benefits to management.
  • Monitor post-launch performance to ensure consistent results.
  • Coordinate with departments to standardize and update procedures.
  • Facilitate or lead capital expenditure projects as needed.
  • Support Lean objectives and activities to meet business goals.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.
