Job summary

STERIS plc in the UK is seeking a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement across production lines. You will analyse data, lead lean initiatives, and support cost reduction, quality, and delivery improvements.

The role requires at least 2 years in manufacturing with experience in process improvement and stakeholder management; proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; ERP exposure (Oracle, Sage, MS 365).

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (Lean preferred).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Process Improvement role (Projects, Process Engineer).
Experience managing projects, including stakeholder management.
Full clean UK Driving Licence.
Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience using an ERP system (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft 365, Sage).
Experience creating process flows and standard work.
Excellent verbal and written communication; able to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities to improve yield, reduce waste and costs, and enhance delivery.
Collect data to support improvements through observations and analysis.
Lead troubleshooting projects to resolve complex operational issues.
Support change initiatives to drive success.
Manage project risks and issues to minimise impact on delivery.
Improve processes based on data and demonstrate benefits to management.
Monitor post-launch performance to ensure consistent results.
Coordinate with departments to standardize and update procedures.
Facilitate or lead capital expenditure projects as needed.
Support Lean objectives and activities to meet business goals.
Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.
