Job description

The Opportunity

Stantec is working in partnership with a variety of clients to develop innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions to their needs by applying genuinely new ways of working. We are looking for driven individuals who think differently and love to challenge conventional thinking to join us in a growing, collaborative team of like-minded engineers working to meet the unprecedented industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges.

Key to our future is the growth of our process team to support both the water and wastewater sector. We are excited by our growth prospects and we are looking for a Process Engineer to join the team in Brighton. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious team that will provide you with openings for professional development and career progression in the coming years.

Working from one of our UK based offices, you will take a lead role delivering challenging projects. Working with our team of global experts, you will use your knowledge and experience to deliver innovative, sustainable, and efficient engineering solutions for our clients and the communities around us.

You will provide process design leadership in multi-disciplinary project teams and coordinate and deliver process engineering designs in collaboration with the project leadership team. You will lead the digital delivery strategy from process modelling, producing mass balances to P&IDs and control philosophies, using appropriate software to provide advice, solutions, and successful project outcomes for our clients. Finally, we will be looking for you to mentor and coach our team of process engineers to continue their journey to become world leaders in their field.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Chemical or Process Engineering or other relevant subject with experience within the water industry, across water or wastewater. Candidates with experience of both will be welcomed. You must also be a member of a relevant engineering institution i.e. IChemE.

This is a chance to join a dynamic team in supporting the delivery of a variety of projects across the UK and Ireland, with opportunities to support global projects and teams. You will provide process design leadership on projects in terms of developing and managing people and tasks. You will also work closely with our clients on and off site.

With the growth of our business there are many opportunities for you to grow across our expanded business lines.
