Huawei Research and Development UK Limited is seeking a Process Engineer to help deliver high-performance optoelectronic devices. You will work in cleanroom and lab environments, optimizing deposition and etch processes and collaborating with process architects and facilities teams to scale technologies for high-volume manufacturing.

The role emphasizes ownership of tooling, rigorous SPC practices, and training of operators.

Formación

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering).
• PhD or postgraduate qualification in a semiconductor field is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Take primary ownership of metal deposition and etching tools, leading process development and day-to-day operations.
• Direct and mentor operators and technicians to meet wafer processing and development deliverables.
• Schedule and perform routine maintenance, chamber cleans, and tool upkeep.
• Maintain SPC across all equipment to ensure robust, repeatable process platforms.
• Collaborate with Design, Testing, Integration and Facilities on reviews, FMEAs, and tool support.
• Create SOPs and Process Instructions, and train operators and colleagues.
• Develop and scale new PVD and Etch steps to meet future device requirements.

Educación

Master's degree in Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science / Electrical/Electronic Engineering

PhD or postgraduate research qualification (semiconductor)
