Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to join an advanced semiconductor and photonics fabrication team in the United Kingdom. You will contribute to wafer fabrication, process development, metrology and baseline stability across multiple modules, supporting both research and pilot manufacturing activities.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field with semiconductor or photonics focus.
• Hands-on cleanroom fabrication experience in academia or industry.
• Experience with lithography, etching, deposition and metrology tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute cleanroom wafer fabrication workflows across lithography, etching and deposition.
• Develop, optimise and maintain process recipes for dry and wet processes.
• Conduct wafer inspection and data analysis to improve yield and stability.
• Apply DoE and SPC to assess process performance and guide improvements.
• Document processes and participate in cross-disciplinary activities.
