Job summary

Manufacturingjobsite seeks a proactive Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing workflows, lead PFMEA/Control Plan work with suppliers, and drive cost-effective improvements across production lines. You will guide projects from concept to launch and ensure high quality and safety standards.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, P.Eng./PE or EIT path, and a proven track record of delivering impactful improvements with Lean and Quality Control expertise. Travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent).
  • P.Eng./PE designation or EIT path preferred.
  • Proven track record: at least one project from inception through launch with ongoing production support.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Quality Control expertise; HACCP and BRC knowledge.
  • Strong root cause analysis and actionable project planning.
  • Highly organized, proactive problem-solver with strong communication.
  • Willing to travel as needed.
  • Criminal record checks required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workflow and shop layout analyses to improve material handling and productivity.
  • Lead PFMEA and Control Plan development with suppliers; apply Lean principles across lines.
  • Identify and implement process upgrades with clear cost-benefit analyses for executives.
  • Support Quality teams in evaluating new tiered suppliers’ capabilities and risks.
  • Manage project timelines and resolve complex technical issues with cross-functional teams.
