Job summary

Sherborne Talent Solutions is helping a well-established international manufacturer in Northern Ireland to hire a Process Engineer. You will help speed up production, improve reliability and efficiency, and lead projects on new equipment and tooling.

The role emphasizes hands-on shop-floor leadership, quality/waste reduction, and close collaboration with operations, maintenance and procurement. A degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering and strong problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer in mechanical or manufacturing disciplines.
• Experience in a process/manufacturing engineering role within high-volume production.
• Proficient with Lean, Six Sigma and root cause analysis methods.
• Organised, proactive and strong communicator with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on making production processes faster, more reliable and efficient.
• Investigate quality and waste issues and implement lasting solutions.
• Improve equipment performance and line efficiency.
• Lead projects to introduce new equipment and tooling.
• Identify opportunities to reduce energy use and cost.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and procurement to resolve technical challenges.
