Job summary

STERIS plc is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Leicester-based operations. You will support continuous improvement, improve line efficiency, reduce costs, and drive quality through data-driven root-cause analysis.

The role requires hands-on project leadership, stakeholder management, and strong communication skills to deliver multiple improvement projects and ensure Lean objectives are met.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Process Improvement projects.
  • Experience managing projects with stakeholders.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Sage or Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to create process flows and standard work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies opportunities to improve yield, reduce waste and costs.
  • Collects data to support improvements through time observations and analysis.
  • Leads troubleshooting projects to resolve operational issues.
  • Prepare and support individuals through change to drive success.
  • Manages project risks and issues to minimise impact on delivery.
  • Demonstrates justification and benefits to leadership.
  • Ensures consistency of results by monitoring post-launch performance.
  • Coordinates with departments to standardize and update procedures.
