Boehringer Ingelheim UK Animal Health is seeking a Process Engineer to join our manufacturing site. You will work with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, solve technical problems and deliver projects within a regulated biologics environment.

This role focuses on safe, compliant and sustainable operations, offering the opportunity to influence process capability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in process, chemical, mechanical or related engineering.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting or reliability engineering.
• GMP/GxP, health, safety and environmental requirements knowledge.
• Experience delivering engineering or capital projects including scope, budget and schedule.
• Analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Experience in biologics/pharma or highly regulated manufacturing.
• Biosafety knowledge and clean-room operations.
• Familiarity with HAZOP and continuous improvement methods.
• Understanding of NEC4 contracts.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.

Responsabilités

• Lead operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of plant and equipment.
• Investigate issues using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, throughput and cost.
• Lead engineering projects, equipment installs and upgrades with scope, budget and schedule.
• Support safe operations through risk assessments, audits and robust documentation.
• Provide technical expertise to Production, Quality and Maintenance.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and engineering standards.
• Train and coach operators and technicians on equipment operation and GMP.
