Responsibilities

• Set and program CNC machines using FANUC and Mazatrol controls.
• Develop, modify and optimise CNC machining programmes.
• Improve cycle times, tooling, quality and machining processes.
• Apply production/industrial engineering principles to machining methods.
• Support the introduction of new products and processes.
• Provide technical support to the wider machine shop.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process efficiency.

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Process Engineer / Setter-Programmer to join an established and successful business.

This is a hands-on technical role combining CNC setting and programming with process engineering, tooling, optimisation and continuous improvement.

Duties

• Set and program CNC machines using FANUC and Mazak/Mazatronic controls
• Develop, modify and optimise CNC machining programmes
• Improve cycle times, tooling, quality and machining processes
• Apply production/industrial engineering principles to machining methods
• Support the introduction of new products and processes
• Provide technical support to the wider machine shop
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process efficiency

Requirements

• Strong background in CNC machining
• Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Programmer
• Confident programming on FANUC and Mazatronic controls
• Strong CNC setting experience across a range of equipment
• Good understanding of machining methods, tooling and process optimisation
• Ideally, a background in Process Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Work Study
• A methodical, analytical and continuous-improvement mindset
• Someone who enjoys being hands-on and getting into the detail
