Job description

Chase Taylor Recruitment is currently working with a UK leading fenestration company that is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join their team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Process Engineer with strong experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Bill of Materials (BOM) control.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and optimising manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless product launches, and maintaining accurate BOMs to support production efficiency and quality.

Role responsibilities:

1. Lead and support New Product Introduction projects by collaborating with technical, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop efficient and scalable production processes.
2. Develop, document, and implement process workflows, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and existing products.
3. Manage and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) data in the ERP system, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and production requirements.
4. Analyse production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities – implement improvements accordingly.
5. Monitor process metrics and provide regular reports on NPI progress and BOM status to stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

• Must have current or recent experience working within a similar role in engineering/manufacturing.
• Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or related process improvement methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of Bill of Materials management and control within ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient in CAD software, process simulation tools, and MS Office suite.
