Job summary

A large design and engineering company is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for their Manchester office to work on a distillation project. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering and over three years of experience in distillation design, along with the ability to lead design teams and deliver high-quality engineering services.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of experience in distillation design.
• Chartered Engineer Status is desirable.
• Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead small process teams to deliver projects for clients.
• Produce process engineering design deliverables including PFDs and P&IDs.
• Check piping design documents and contribute to safety reviews.

Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior process engineer to join a large design and engineering company on a contract basis. As their team continues to grow and exciting projects land, we have opportunities for a Senior Process Engineer to join their growing team for their Manchester Office.

This role is specifically for a distillation project within Europe. The base will be from the UK with occasional site visits required to Sweden.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering services design and consultancy work on behalf of the client under the direction of the line manager or process lead.
• Lead small process teams to deliver projects for clients, acting as the process lead on smaller projects and as a section lead on larger projects.
• Produce process engineering design deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balance calculations, datasheets, specifications, schedules, and calculations.
• Check piping design documents, including checking isometrics and layout drawings, contribute to safety reviews and other risk assessments.
• Check process deliverables to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project brief, and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering.- Non Negotiable
• Experience in distillation design (3+ years).- Non Negotiable
• Chartered Engineer Status.- Desirable
• Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams.- Desirable
