Overview
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a skilled and proactive
NPI Engineer to join its Technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented Process Engineer with a strong background in
New Product Introduction (NPI) and
Bill of Materials (BOM) control. You'll play a crucial role in delivering seamless product launches, maintaining accurate BOMs, and driving process optimisation across engineering and manufacturing functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead NPI projects in collaboration with technical, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Develop and implement process workflows, SOPs, and work instructions for new and existing products.
- Maintain accurate BOM data within the ERP system in line with engineering and production requirements.
- Identify and resolve process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate across departments to ensure successful product launches and process integration.
- Investigate and resolve BOM discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support pilot runs, process validations, and ensure products meet required standards.
- Monitor key NPI metrics and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Ensure all processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a Process or NPI Engineering role within manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of BOM management and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement tools.
- Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
- Proficient in CAD, process simulation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within the engineering and manufacturing sector.
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or equivalent process improvement certifications.
