The Role

We're looking for ahands-on, technically sharp Process Engineer to join our growing team.You’ll work on the full lifecycle of projects — from initial conceptand design through to commissioning and optimisation. This roledemands someone who understands the real-world challenges ofwastewater treatment, not just the theory.

KeyResponsibilities

• Design and develop wastewatertreatment processes for new and existing plants (biological, chemical,physical treatment).
• Undertake mass balances, processmodelling, and simulations (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X, or similar).
• Produce PFDs, P&IDs, and support equipmentselection/specification.
• Lead or support commissioning andplant performance testing/troubleshooting.
• Collaborate withdesign engineers, project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, calculations, andprocess reports.
• Support bids and proposals with technicalinput and process innovation.

About You

• Degree qualified in Chemical, Process, EnvironmentalEngineering, or similar.
• 3–10 years' experience in wastewatertreatment — preferably hands-on in the UK market.
• Strongtechnical understanding of biological and chemical treatment processes(e.g., activated sludge, MBRs, nutrient removal).
• Able tobalance office-based design with occasional site work andcommissioning.
• Skilled communicator — able to explain the“why” behind your design decisions to clients and colleagues.

Desirable but Not Essential

• Chartered orworking towards Chartership (IChemE, CIWEM, etc.).
• Experiencewith DfMA, modular systems, or smart/automated process control.
• Exposure to industrial effluent treatment.
