An established industry player is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join a dynamic team in Manchester. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative chemical production projects, focusing on the FEED phase of design. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, developing crucial engineering deliverables while mentoring junior engineers. With a commitment to quality and compliance, you will ensure that all outputs align with project briefs. This full-time position offers flexibility and the chance to contribute to groundbreaking projects in a supportive environment, making it an exciting opportunity for professionals in the field.
Our process department, consisting of chemical, mechanical, EC&I engineers, 3D layout & pipers, and building design specialists, is known for making the complex simple. Working with clients across the chemical, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries, we have a reputation for delivering ‘first of a kind’ projects in innovative ways.
Working with a key BakerHicks client in the chemical sector, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to deliver new chemical production facilities.
The end client site is located in Europe; however, the design team is based in the UK, primarily in Manchester.
This full-time contract (initially 3 months, with potential extension) offers flexible working with at least one day per week in our Salford Quays office.
The project is in the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) phase, focusing on batch chemical processing. It is a small-scale project, where you will work alongside another process engineer to deliver the FEED package, including developing P&IDs, heat and mass balances, project schedules, and equipment datasheets.
As the Senior Process Engineer, you will progress the design from the concept to detailed FEED deliverables, supported by our experienced process team for guidance.
