Job description

The Engineer will contribute to Feasibility studies, Basis of Design (BODs), and Basic Design Engineering Packages (BDEPs), as well as owner’s engineering (project execution and supervision), to ensure all process and equipment aspects are included in the projects. The goal is to ensure equipment has the highest quality, can be safely operated, and is well maintained.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support to projects, delivering safe, technically sound, and high-quality designs for processes, equipment, and buildings.
2. Optimum selection and fit-for-purpose specification of processes, equipment, and auxiliary systems.
3. Contribute to cost estimates and participate in negotiations, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.
4. Ensure quality assurance and quality control during construction, commissioning, and startup phases.
5. Ensure equipment selection and specifications comply with international codes, standards, and client standards.
6. Coordinate engineering activities within the project in support of the Engineering Manager.
7. Report to the Project Engineering Manager.
8. Motivate, coach, and guide colleagues, contractors, and staff.
9. Share knowledge through training, promoting best practices, and providing ongoing support.

Reporting Line:

You will report to the Head of Process Engineering.

Candidate Profile:

Our ideal candidate holds a relevant University degree in Chemical Engineering or similar, with 8-10 years of relevant experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.

• Good interpersonal skills.
• Structured worker with the ability to organize others’ work.
• Self-motivated and a good team player.
• Experience in international cooperation, culturally sensitive.
• Experience with databases and spreadsheets is preferred.
• Enjoy working on international, multidisciplinary projects and willing to travel.
