Job summary

Serply Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Process Engineer / Process Developer to develop, improve and support manufacturing processes across the business. The role will work with NPI, new customer projects and production optimisation, reporting to Engineering/Management.

The role requires experience in process engineering, ability to read engineering drawings, and strong problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and NPI is desirable; degree or equivalent engineering qualification is

Qualifications

• Experience in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in precision engineering, machining, aerospace, automotive or similar manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen would be beneficial.
• NPI experience desirable.
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost.

• Drive continuous improvement and reduce waste.

• Support tooling, fixture development, process validation and equipment improvements.
• Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure processes meet quality, customer and health & safety requirements.
• Provide technical support to production when required.

LEAD INFORMATION

Job Title: Process Engineer / Process Developer

Site Location: Broughton

Responsible To: Engineering / Management Team

Purpose of the Role: To develop, improve and support manufacturing processes across the business, supporting NPI, new customer projects, production efficiency, quality and continuous improvement.

Client Brief: Due to continued growth and the recent acquisition of two major customers, the client is looking to strengthen their engineering team with a Process Engineer / Process Developer. The role will work alongside an experienced Process Engineer and will support increasing customer demand, new product introductions and ongoing production optimisation.

KEY INFORMATION

Reason for Vacancy: Business growth and acquisition of two major customers, creating increased demand and new projects.

Contract: Permanent, full time

Salary: £40,000

Overtime: 1.5x basic rate Mon-Sat, 2.0x Sunday

Shifts: Monday-Thursday 7:45am-4:15pm / Friday 7:45am-12:45pm

Holidays: 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

Facilities: Excellent facilities on site, very well kept site and free parking available also

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Role

Key Skills Required

• Previous experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Process Development.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Competent with Microsoft Office.
• Ideally experience within precision engineering, machining, fabrication, aerospace, automotive or similar manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen would be beneficial.
• NPI experience desirable.
• HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent engineering experience desirable.
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong team player with a focus on continuous improvement.
