Our client is a successful manufacturing company based in the outskirts of Belfast, with several manufacturing sites and multiple service and distribution centres throughout the world. They have a new opening for an experienced Process Engineer to join their manufacturing team.

With a focus on cost reduction and efficiency, you will work closely with the design team to refine manufacturing designs and materials. You will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, processes, instructions and equipment to set timelines. You will take a hands-on approach to supporting production and have the ability to think on your feet and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the analysis of design information to specific manufacturing methods, process steps, plant, machinery, and equipment required to set up, run and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes
  • Contribute to the design of engineering solutions
  • Draft engineering standards and specifications
  • Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and the integrity of existing installations or structures
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date manufacturing engineering records within the knowledge management system
  • Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities

  • Strong communicator with good teamworking skills
