Job summary

PureKat Consultancy in Haverhill is seeking a Process Development Scientist to join the client’s R&D team. You will design and run hands-on chemical process engineering experiments, develop practical approaches, set up and troubleshoot lab equipment, and apply process modelling to understand performance.

The role requires a degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline and hands-on experience with lab-scale process development.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in laboratory-scale process development.
• Experience setting up, operating and troubleshooting lab equipment.
• Understanding of unit operations (mixing, heating, cooling, pumping, drying, separation).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Process Development Scientist

Location: Haverhill

Salary: circa £40,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm, 36 hours per week

PureKat Consultancy is recruiting for a Process Development Scientist to join the R&D team for their client based in Haverhill.

Your duties as a Process Development Scientist will include:

• Designing, planning and conducting hands-on chemical process engineering experiments
• Developing practical experimental approaches to investigate process performance
• Developing, modifying and troubleshooting experimental setups

The ideal candidate for the Process Development Scientist will have:

• A BSc, MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Proven practical experience in laboratory-scale chemical process development, including planning and conducting experiments
• Hands-on experience setting up, operating, modifying and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
• A sound understanding of chemical engineering principles and unit operations, including mixing, filtration, heating, cooling, pumping, drying and separation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ideally you will have experience within a similar position. Interviews will take place in Haverhill, Suffolk, following a registration process by PureKat Consultancy Ltd.
