Job summary

Huntsman seeks a Process Development Manager for its Advanced Materials site in Duxford. You will lead a standalone PD function, taking projects from lab to full production and driving technology transfers across sites.

You will develop a capable team of engineers and chemists while collaborating with R&T, Operations and Quality to turn innovative concepts into scalable manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• University degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Development and/or Manufacturing.
• Experience taking products or processes through scale-up from development towards industrial manufacturing.
• Experience leading technical or scientific professionals and coaching others.
• Strong understanding of process development, manufacturing processes and scale-up.
• Strong understanding of thermoset chemistries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to lead complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead Process Development team at Duxford, building a high-performing group.
• Industrialise and scale-up new products and formulations for safe, efficient production.
• Own the PD lifecycle from lab scale to pilot-plant and commercial production.
• Lead the pilot plant supporting both new products and manufacturing.
• Drive technology transfers from R&T into manufacturing and site-to-site transfers.
• Tackle technical issues and provide PD expertise to Operations on quality and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in process capability, quality, capacity and cost.
• Manage PD priorities, resources, budget and KPIs.
• Ensure PD activities comply with EHS, Process Safety, Quality and regulatory requirements.
