Job summary

A leading company in metal and glass packaging solutions is seeking a Process Control Engineer for its Doncaster Plant. This role involves maintaining Manufacturing Control Systems and providing technical support, with opportunities for career progression through internal training and external programs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of plant engineering systems and experience in project implementation.

Qualifications

  • Very good understanding of systems within Plant Engineering.
  • Experience with small project design and implementation.
  • Experience in using plant SCADA system.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all Manufacturing Control Systems on Plant.
  • Provide maintenance and technical support to team.
  • Assist with breakdowns and liaise with contractors.

Process Control Engineer - Days
Doncaster Plant

Role description
To ensure maintenance of all Manufacturing control systems on plant is carried out.

This role offers leadership development opportunities, including internal training and externally accredited programmes to support your performance and career progression.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance of all Manufacturing Control Systems on Plant
  2. Provide hands-on maintenance and repair, technical support to team and plant
  3. Assist in the modification and improvement of Manufacturing Control Systems
  4. Assist with breakdowns, either in person or by telephone (including call outs)
  5. Liaise with Tech Services and contractors in the implementation of upgrades and new Manufacturing Control Systems

Required skills / qualifications:
  1. A very good understanding of all systems covered within Plant Engineering
  2. Experience with small project design, development, and implementation
  3. Experience in using our plant SCADA system
  4. Knowledge of our Plant-wide LAN & WAN network systems
  5. The ability to assist and manage contractors
