Job summary

National Gas in Warwick is seeking a Process and Systems Lead to drive continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain. You will partner with procurement, supply chain and business stakeholders to deliver transformation, embed best practices, and leverage data and technology for value and efficiency.

The role focuses on improving processes, systems, and ways of working within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant procurement experience in direct and indirect procurement environments.
• Experience in sourcing, category management, supply chain operations, and process improvement.
• Strong understanding of supply chain systems, tools, supplier management, risk management, and procurement best practice.
• Proven ability to develop, optimise, and embed business processes and procedures in complex environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver a portfolio of continuous improvement projects enhancing procurement capability, efficiency, and user experience.
• Identify and implement new systems, tools, templates, and processes to simplify supply chain activities.
• Develop and embed best-practice supply chain methodologies, frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor market trends, technologies, and innovations, translating insights into practical improvements.
• Use data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement across spend, supplier performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Partner with senior stakeholders and Supply Chain Leadership Teams to deliver change programmes.
• Support capability development through learning initiatives and transformation programmes.

Location requirement

Candidate must be located within a reasonable commutable distance to the Warwick office.

Working pattern

5-days Monday-Friday. Hybrid with 3-days minimum in the office.

About The Role

As the Process and Systems Lead, you will drive the continuous improvement of supply chain processes, systems, and ways of working across the organisation. Working closely with procurement, supply chain, and business stakeholders, you'll lead transformation initiatives that enhance capability, improve user experience, strengthen compliance, and embed best practice. This role plays a key part in developing procurement excellence by leveraging technology, data, market insights, and innovative approaches to deliver greater value and efficiency across the function.

• Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and industry innovations, translating insights into practical improvements for the supply chain function.
• Use data, analytics, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement across supply chain spend, supplier performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Partner with senior stakeholders and Supply Chain Leadership Teams to deliver change programmes, improve ways of working, and increase functional maturity.
• Support capability development through learning initiatives, benchmarking activities, and transformation programmes that strengthen supply chain excellence across the organisation.

Essential

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Significant procurement experience, with strong knowledge across both direct and indirect procurement environments.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear business benefits.

Desirable

• MCIPS or another relevant professional supply chain/procurement qualification.
• Experience developing and implementing supply chain best practice, operating models, and ways of working across large organisations.
• Demonstrated success in leading procurement transformation, system implementation, or continuous improvement programmes.
• Experience working with external consultants and managing complex change initiatives.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery in a fast‑paced and evolving environment.
