Job summary

Ministry of Justice is seeking a Restorative Justice Facilitator to coordinate communications between victims of crime and individuals on probation or in prison, addressing harm and guiding positive outcomes. Qualifications

• Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive situations and assess risks.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between victims of crime and people on probation or in prison to address harm caused by crime and find a positive way forward.
• Undertake risk and suitability assessments and prepare participants for restorative interventions.
• Provide post-intervention support and debriefing; maintain case records to professional standards.
• Promote awareness and understanding of restorative justice across the Probation Service and partner agencies.
• Identify suitable referrals and manage a full range of probation-related activities.
