Job summary

Ministry of Justice seeks a Learning & Development professional to coordinate and deliver probation qualifications across England and Wales and CRCs. The role includes mentoring, assessment and coaching of learners in NPS/HMPPS settings with regular travel.

You will deliver professional skills workshops, undertake quality assurance of learner work and support reflective practice, in a Hybrid Working environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of probation qualifications and assessment frameworks.
• Ability to mentor, assess and coach learners.
• Experience with quality assurance in education/training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the selection of learners to undertake probation qualifications.
• Design, co-ordinate and deliver training and learning opportunities to facilitate learners' achievement.
• Identify individual learning needs and adjust learning approaches accordingly.
• Complete and monitor learning agreements per Regulatory Framework.
• Provide regular developmental sessions and review progress on qualifications.
• Report performance issues to line manager and develop action plans.
• Provide written learner progress reports and manage attendance to achieve completion.
• Offer coaching, mentoring, QA and promote reflective practice.
• Provide PTA cover as needed and attend required training/assessments.
• Use diverse assessment methods aligned with Awarding Body strategy.
• Maximise IT use, including eportfolio systems.
• Attend standardisation meetings and liaise with QA bodies to ensure consistency.
