Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide professional advice and assessment, including written reports to courts, the Parole Board and partner organisations.
• Undertake the full range of offender management tasks with probationers at varying risk levels.
• Use computer based systems to maintain records within agreed timescales.
• Ensure timely referrals and strong relationships between offender management, court teams, victim contact units and external agencies.
• Attend professional meetings and represent PS at MAPPA and MARAC.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support PSOs; provide cover within teams.
• Undertake prison, home, or other location visits as required.
• Deliver and co-lead accredited programmes.
• Conduct mandatory alcohol and drug tests and follow procedures.
• Carry out safeguarding children duties in line with PS responsibilities.
• Demonstrate pro-social modelling and challenge anti-social behaviour.
• Work within the aims and values of PS and HMPPS.
