Job summary

Ministry of Justice is seeking a regional probation specialist to join the North East OPD Pathway team. The role focuses on supporting an IIRMS caseload across Durham and Cleveland, collaborating with PICS teams, and fostering professional relationships across probation and health services.

A strong background in risk management and formulation-informed practice is valued. The post involves probation tasks, risk assessment, report production, and opportunities to influence service development

Qualifications

• Good understanding of complexity and trauma.
• Interest in Personality Disorder advantageous but not essential.
• Strong report-writing skills transferable to formulation-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the full range of offender management tasks with people on probation under supervision including assessment, sentence implementation and producing reports.
• Utilise service procedures and practice directions to underpin professional judgement.
• Contribute to service development, workforce development, and ongoing delivery of PICS.
