Responsibilities & Duties

1. Undertake a full range of offender management tasks, including generic Offender Manager responsibilities within Melbourne House, Stoke.
2. Support the Probation Delivery Unit.
3. Carry out safeguarding duties.
4. Conduct risk assessments and risk management.
5. Knowledge of OASys is advantageous.

Technical Requirements

• Must hold a Probation Officer qualification or be a qualified Probation Officer.
• Possess one of the following qualifications:
  • PQF Honours Degree/Graduate Diploma and Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice, or
  • Diploma in Probation Studies, or
  • Diploma in Social Work (Probation option), or
  • CQSW (Probation option).
• Knowledge and understanding of the Criminal Justice System and the Probation Service.
