The Ministry of Justice is recruiting a Probation Services Officer to work around 37 hours per week, with some evenings to cover late night appointments. You will assess, implement sentences, manage offenders and produce reports, while providing case management support to people on probation in line with service procedures.

The role offers hybrid working within the UK, with base location and travel as needed, and requires robust report writing and professional judgement in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people who have social or personal difficulties
• Good writing skills and ability to produce clear, accurate reports under tight deadlines
• Empathetic, patient and resilient traits are essential

Responsibilities

• Undertake the full range of probation work before and after sentence, including assessment, sentence implementation and offender management
• Produce clear reports in line with service procedures and practice directions
• Provide case management support to a full range of people on probation
