Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a dependable School Site Manager for a secondary school in Basildon. This part-time, permanent role begins immediately and focuses on overseeing site upkeep, compliance, and safety.

The ideal candidate has facilities management experience, understands building upkeep and safety protocols, and can lead a team while coordinating with school staff. DBS j+ enhanced and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

Experience in facilities or school site management or general maintenance.
Fundamental understanding of building upkeep, statutory compliance, health guidelines and safety protocols.
Resourceful, hands-on mindset with troubleshooting and project coordination abilities.
Capable of leading a team and collaborating with school staff and operations teams.
Enhanced DBS certificate and legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Oversee site upkeep, facilities management and safety to ensure a secure learning environment.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, health and safety standards and related policies.
Lead the site team and coordinate with school leadership to maintain smooth daily operations.
Manage day-to-day site activities and respond to maintenance issues promptly.
Collaborate with staff to foster a safe, clean and well‑maintained school site.
