Job summary

AWD online in London is seeking an IT Systems Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer to own proactive systems management within an MSP environment. You will monitor client environments, identify issues early and take preventive action, with the IT Support Team available for escalation.

You will maintain servers, networks, endpoints and other assets, coordinating patching, backups, upgrades, security controls and incident response to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and operating monitoring tools.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and patch management.
• Experience with backup, recovery and data integrity.
• Vulnerability management and incident response experience.
• Ability to create proactive system policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance and optimise using monitoring tools.
• Manage asset health, patches, backups and upgrades.
• Oversee change implementations and ensure change control.
• Coordinate backup schedules and verify data integrity.
• Lead incident response and minimise downtime.
• Plan technical work, priorities and guidance.
• Collaborate with leadership and service desk on policies.
• Maintain security controls across endpoints.
