Job summary

Portsmouth Water is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator in Havant to support day-to-day health and safety delivery, maintain records, and assist compliance activities. You’ll work with the Health & Safety Advisor to ensure a safe and healthy working environment across the business, with a clear development pathway into a Health & Safety career.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates high standards and promotes a positive safety culture.
• Excellent communicator with stakeholder engagement skills.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and collaborative.
• Strong IT skills and experience with safety databases.
• Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).

Responsibilities

• Log accidents, incidents and near misses; generate management reports.
• Track compliance metrics like certifications and risk assessments.
• Maintain filing systems for audits and policies.
• Serve as first point of contact for safety inquiries.
• Prepare health and safety data, dashboards and meeting packs.
• Attend site visits to record observations and actions.
