Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Health & Safety Manager in Portsmouth to own the H&S function across the business. The role is hands-on, partnering with engineering and operations to maintain high standards and compliance. The successful candidate will drive safety initiatives and training, reporting on performance and improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
• Hands-on, practical approach to Health & Safety.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the company's Health & Safety policies, procedures and systems.
• Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.
• Carry out risk assessments, audits, inspections and investigations.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement practical H&S initiatives.
• Work with engineering, production and operations teams to promote safety culture.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver or coordinate Health & Safety training and toolbox talks.
• Monitor H&S performance and produce reports and recommendations.
• Support environmental and compliance requirements where required.
